Peter mentioned this hope (I Pet. 5:1) in his letter to the elect.

As I read this phrase this morning, I began thinking of how often we need to be reminded of the world to come. We have so many promises from God’s Word of rewards for living for Him here on planet earth.

To me, personally, ALL WILL PALE when compared to the privilege of SEEING THE LORD! Every opportunity to suffer, every hard lesson learned, every earthly pleasure or fulfillment … all are a tuneup to our eternal existence with our Savior.

How timely it has been for me to read these words on Jan. 1, 2013.

Myeloma, trials, blessings, opportunities, all bow to Jesus in worship that this life might accomplish His purposes in the earth.
