I’m So Grateful!
May 5, 2014
Here I am just 74 days out from my transplant and I am feeling GREAT! In looking back, I really cannot say I had any suffering or monumental pain. I am grateful for the volume of prayer that has been offered for me.
I heard of so many others who have had a difficult time. Don’t get me wrong … I’m the guy who has been through a total knee replacement and two hip replacements. I KNOW pain.
The Bible says “Count it all joy” when you do suffering. I know I am at a new place in capacity for understanding and empathy for others who suffer and have diseases. Your heart just “knows” how others feel. I greatly value that.
Nevertheless, I’m just very grateful to have the opportunity to be of service to my fellow man. Life is an opportunity to serve others.

HI Dean I am glad you are doing so well, it is great to feel really good. I had a session in an MRI that eclipsed any pain I have ever had, surgery’s, bike crashes and dental drilling and needles. They placed my shoulder in a U shaped device and told me not to move. Within a minute the pain became so bad I could hardly stand it. It ended up being one half hour of solid non stop pain, so bad I was trembling and tears were coming out. I just wanted to get it done and I felt I had a high tolerance for pain but it was the length of time that was so bad. The rotator cuff is slightly torn so I will not likely have surgery. My knee is the main problem now.
So much for me, glad you are doing well and having friends praying, is a great thing.
Love ya
Bob

Bob, I guess we are veterans of pain and suffering. I hate MRIs also. The best to you. Dean
